All About MewMew The Campervan

MewMew is a 2.5L TDCI Vauxhall Movano, which we upgraded to from a Citroen Berlingo. The van got its name because the original license plate ended in MYU, and the name stuck.

We bought MewMew in late 2017, prepared her initially over that winter. Shortly after purchasing MewMew, we took her on a short trip of over 668 miles / 1,076 kilometers around the UK to visit friends and towns. We were initially concerned about the van's size, but MewMew handled the roads exceptionally well, leaving us with nothing but compliments for her road manners.

We embarked on a European / Scandinavian tour for two years before returning to the UK in late 2019. In that two years, she took us through eleven countries and allowed us to work in France and Norway in the active outdoors industry.

Back in the UK, MewMew has supported many shorter trips as lockdown eased nationally and some semblance of normality returned.

She's proven herself capable of getting us down surprisingly tight and twisty cliffside roads in Croatia, mountainous walled country roads in Wales, and long motorway jaunts across countries. We've had her rescuing stuck 4x4s, towing caravans and trailers, carrying bike racks, canoes and kayaks, climbing gear, and stand-up paddleboards.

Inside, she's fully kitted out with a full gas kitchen, a shower room, double bed, and ample solar for our off-the-grid style of travel.

We visited almost no campsites in the two years in the EU and Scandinavia, favoring permitted 'wild' camping areas or Aires.

Now, MewMew is looking for a new owner to embark on new adventures. She has been well-maintained, with recent MOT advisories addressed and is ready to hit the road once more.
